I’ve been doing a lot of thinking as to what jobs I want to be associated with and level.
When they raised the level cap I had already gained level 75 with PLD, DRG, SMN, BLU, and RDM (in that order) and was working on BLM. And with Abyssea style exp I knew I could level all of them and it would be easy. While being versatile to what needs any group I’m in has, that is too much for me to juggle. I didn’t want to be *that* guy that has to spend an hour gearing up a job for an event. So I had to decide.
SMN and RDM, it’s been fun. However your services are no longer needed. So long and thanks for all the fish!
Which leaves me to focus on BLU, BLM, DRG and PLD; probably in that order too. Since the last posting, I’ve managed to get BLM to 80, thanks to some kick ass Abyssea groups. Even started to merit it! As it stands I’ve thrown 8/8 Elemental magic skill into it as well as 1/5 in both thunder and ice potency. It’s the job that has the most merits thrown at it.
Sad, I know… but I got more joy out of the actual leveling process as opposed to merit point parties. Abyssea has helped change that lol.
As of this writing I am BLU80, BLM80, DRG80 and PLD75. Been taking it easy on PLD and using it to work on some Magian swords, namely the STR and DEX ones. Though killing has been kind of slow so I’ve switched back to BLU for that. Thinking about doing the -phys. dmg. % sword, but we’ll see if I have time for that lol. The “elemental staves” are going to wait until Terren finishes working on his SCH so we can work on them together, should be fun!
Last night we did another Omega and since no one wanted the head armor I put in a bid for it…
Xiahou is now sitting pretty at 5/5 Homam. Not as a big of a deal with the level cap going up again, but I’m proud, dammit!
